Krosno, Poland“s leading glassmaker, intends to divide off and then later dispose of, its fibreglass and technological glass business to raise funds for modernizing its automatic forming line. “We are talking to potential investors, but it is too early at this point to say whether we“ll sell 100% percent at once, or a smaller stake and withdraw gradually,” said chief executive Jan Kurkus. He said Krosno intends to launch a new brand called Kanon for automatically-formed and simple manually-formed glass designs, as a response to an intensive marketing campaign from French rival Luminarc. A premium brand called Krosno Art will use designs supplied by renowned art designers, including Poland“s best known, and most controversial, fashion designer, Arkadius.
