Three Waterford Wedgwood directors have spent a total of EUR 2,731 on 9,104 shares in the company. Chief executive Redmond O“Donoghue paid EUR 885 for 2,950 shares at EUR 0.30 each. Company secretary Patrick Dowling spent EUR 960 on 3,200 shares at the same price. John Foley, chief executive of Waterford Crystal, meanwhile paid EUR 886.20 for 2,954 shares, also at EUR 0.30 per share. All the purchases were made 19 November 2003, five days after Waterford Wedgwood launched a revamped capital structure and said it would raise a total of EUR 203.5 million through a rights issue and a bond offering.
