Holding Veda is planning to launch operations of the first stage of a glass packaging plant for beer and low alcohol beverages in the 4Q of 2006 at Saransk, where the group“s low alcohol drinks operation OOO Veda is based. The news emerged from a meeting between Holding Veda CEO Alexander Matt and the head of the Republic of Mordovia, Nikolay Merkushkin on 10 July 2006, according to the official press-service. The officials considered further expansion of the low-alcohol drinks segment. The company expects output of these drinks to reach designed capacity in September 2006.
