Reports on 11 September 2006 said that Romanian soda ash producer Govora Soda Plants – USG has widened its net loss by 88% year-on-year to EUR 4.3 million in the first half of 2006. Turnover increased to EUR 17.28 million for January to June 2006 from EUR 9.2 million in the same period of 2005. In a capital move carried out earlier in 2006, USG converted its debt to utility supplier CET Govora into shares, making CET Govora USG“s majority shareholder.
