Yurii Mazur, director general of Krystal diamond processing plant, based in the Vinnytsia region of Ukraine, announced on 19 September 2006 that the company has increased its output by UAH 0.503 million or 19.61% to UAH 3.066 million in August 2006, compared with August 2005. According to Mazur, Krystal“s output fell by UAH 3.99 million or 56.54% in August 2006, compared with July 2006, while output fell 21.71% or UAH 24.122 to UAH 86.987 million in the entire January-August period of 2006, compared with the same period of 2005. As reported earlier, Krystal“s output in comparable prices fell by 0.25% or UAH 0.018 million to UAH 7.056 million in July 2006 compared with July 2005, and the company finished 2005 with net profits of UAH 0.187 million. Output in comparable prices at the plant fell by 34.25% or UAH 65.253 million to UAH 125.267 million in 2005, compared with 2004.
