Russia“s North-West Glass Company and Chinese Yaohua plan to build a USD 95 million float glass plant in the St. Petersburg region of Russia, the region“s economic development committee said 10 November 2006. The projected daily production capacity of the plant is 600 tonnes. The design process is set to begin in January 2007, while construction is scheduled to start not later than June 2007. The plant is scheduled for launch sometime in July-September 2008. Yaohua is the leading glass producer in China.
