Pella Corp. has announced the acquisition of EFCO, a Missouri-based maker of storefront windows. Pella, Iowa“s largest window manufacturer, makes commercial window and door products, although it is focused more on residential construction. EFCO, which makes aluminum-clad store front windows, glass curtain walls and other products for commercial buildings, has about 1,600 employees at its plant in Monett, Missouri. It will retain its brand name as a unit of Pella. The acquisition of EFCO will increase Pella“s workforce to more than 10,600. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
