Discover Schiavo’s latest innovations at Glasstec 2026

Glass manipulators, vacuum lifters, a vertical washer and a CNC drilling-milling machine on show in Hall 15, Stand F27

Schiavo will exhibit at Glasstec 2026, held at Messe Düsseldorf from 20 to 23 October, in Hall 15, Stand F27. On the stand are four machine families from its glass lifting and glass processing units, covering assisted handling, vacuum lifting, vertical washing and CNC drilling and milling.

The handling range is led by two versions of the Mani glass manipulator series. On the MANI2E, lifting is done by an electric hoist with an adjustable stroke, and rotation is motorised up to 200 degrees. Its compact, lightweight build suits insulating glass lines and in-line edge grinders.

The MANI2SPGBP is fully pneumatic, with a 1,500 millimetre lifting stroke and pneumatic rotation and tilting. Its stiffer structure moves the crane arm instantly, which makes it suitable for insulating glass lines, tempering furnaces and laminating lines. Protective suction cup covers are available for coated and Low-E glass.

Battery-powered vacuum lifters
The VM 4 and VML 4 vacuum lifters use a dual-circuit safety system and are built to move monolithic, laminated and insulating glass, both in the workshop and on site. They run on rechargeable batteries, with wireless control and a safety cylinder for tilting available as options. On the VM series, the suction cups can be repositioned and extension arms added to widen the spacing between them. This stabilises the load and reduces glass deflection during transfer.

Washing and drilling
The Plus 2000.6 vertical glass washing machine can run in-line or standalone, ahead of laminating, tempering or insulating glass production. The FV1000 vertical CNC drilling and milling machine drills, countersinks and mills glass in one setup, aimed at glass doors and shower enclosures.

“Every handling solution starts from three figures: glass size, weight and where the panel is picked up and set down,” said Michele Schiavo, CEO of Schiavo. “We are asking visitors to bring those numbers to Stand F27, so our technicians can match a manipulator or lifter configuration to their line during the fair.”

The lifting equipment comes under EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230, with safety-related controls assessed to EN ISO 13849-1. The processing machines carry CE marking under Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

Meetings at the stand can be booked in advance.
