British Glass confirms leadership team and board appointments

Following the successful separation of British Glass and Glass Technology Services (GTS), British Glass has entered a new phase as an independent trade federation dedicated to representing the interests of the UK glass industry.

The separation enables both organisations to operate with greater agility and focus, with British Glass concentrating on advocacy, policy and member support, while GTS delivers technical services, testing and research on behalf of the wider glass supply chain. Although operating independently, GTS remains wholly owned by British Glass.

The leadership confirmation sees Dr Nick Kirk lead British Glass as Executive Director, supported by a strengthened senior leadership team. Victoria Adams has been appointed Public Affairs and Communications Director, Paul Pearcy has been appointed Energy and Industry Director, and Jenni Richards has been appointed Environment and Circularity Director.

The appointments reflect British Glass’s continued commitment to championing the interests of the UK glass sector, while driving progress on key industry priorities including sustainability, decarbonisation, trade and public affairs.

At the British Glass Annual General Meeting (AGM), held on 14 July 2026, members also confirmed reappointments to the British Glass board.

The following directors were appointed to the British Glass Board:

  • Matthew Demmon, MKD32
  • Vincent Godfrey, Ardagh
  • Nicholas Kirk, British Glass
  • Sean Murphy, Encirc
  • Allen Norris, Chair
  • Stephen Severs, Saint-Gobain

In addition, members confirmed Dean Butler’s appointment as President until December 31, 2027, ensuring continuity of leadership during this important period for the organisation and the wider glass industry. The Board thanked Dean for his role in reshaping the organisation.

Dr Kirk said, “As an independent organisation, British Glass is well placed to continue delivering for its members and representing the interests of the UK glass industry. With a strong leadership team, experienced board in place and wider dedicated British Glass team, we look forward to building on our work to support the sector’s growth, sustainability ambitions and long-term success.”
