XRG™ (eXtended Reality Glazing) has launched a public research and prototype-development initiative seeking collaboration with universities, glass and façade specialists, display engineers, manufacturers and technical laboratories.
Developed by inventor Teddy Ristick, XRG explores how architectural glass could become a transparent digital information surface while preserving visibility, natural light and the appearance of the surrounding building. The concept is intended for new construction and the modernisation of existing buildings and public spaces.
Potential applications include building directories, transportation and campus way-finding, emergency exit guidance, multilingual public information, museum interpretation, retail communication and real-time building alerts. The development roadmap also considers serviceable edge electronics, quick-connect component access, replaceable modules and the future evaluation of recycled-content glass where optical, structural and code requirements permit.

XRG is being conceived around familiar architectural glazing practices, with the long-term goal of making installation and component replacement practical for qualified glass and glazing professionals. Exact installation procedures, training, testing, certifications and code-compliance requirements remain subjects for engineering development.
The project is currently patent pending and in the prototype-development phase. No functional or production-validated prototype or commercially available XRG product exists. Images and video are illustrative concept visualisations.
