Ardagh Glass’s Learning and Development team recently brought together glass plant trainers from across North America for their annual Train the Trainer event, hosted at the Sapulpa, Oklahoma glass production facility.
The three‑day programme began with presentations from the company’s Safety and Quality teams, sparking discussions on best practices and continuous improvement. Day one also included emotional intelligence training, equipping trainers with tools to communicate effectively and better support their teams.
Day two focused on technical development, with dedicated hot end and cold end sessions that allowed trainers to deepen their expertise and share practical insights.

The final day centred on strengthening training effectiveness, with sessions on the Kirkpatrick Model, Standard Work Instruction training and interactive communication skills. The programme concluded with a guided tour of the Sapulpa facility.
The event reinforced Ardagh Glass’ commitment to developing knowledgeable and confident glass plant trainers across the North American locations.
