The new systron storage system with intelligent sorting function

More capacity, larger glass formats, a shorter design and now with automatic sorting:
with the new generation of the systron storage system, the development team has taken a proven automation solution to the next level. The system no longer just buffers glass automatically. It now actively organises the entire material flow within the glass processing line.

The system has been mechanically redesigned and enhanced in several key areas. In addition to the integrated sorting function, the storage now offers higher capacity, supports multiple loading operations and handles larger glass formats up to 3,750 by 2,000 millimetres. At the same time, the overall length has been reduced, making integration into existing production environments even easier.

Its modular design allows flexible capacity expansion; doubled or tripled if required. This ensures more autonomy for fully automatic operation and minimises downtime. On the outfeed side, the integrated sorting function automatically assigns glass sheets according to freely definable criteria such as thickness, size, job number or next processing step. The goal: fewer internal transport trolleys, shorter paths and more usable production space.

“We wanted to provide our customers with a solution that not only buffers but actively organises,” said Thomas Haan, Head of Sales at systron.

“With higher capacity and the ability to handle larger formats, production becomes even more autonomous. The new sorting function minimises internal transport and optimises available space, reducing working time per product and increasing competitiveness.”

In addition to these innovations, the system continues to impress with its compact, modular structure. Combined with portal loading or robot loading, the new systron storage system forms a seamless automation solution from cutting to final processing.

Key advantages
• Intelligent buffering & sorting for continuous glass flow
• Up to 25 percent higher line capacity and 8 hours of autonomous runtime
• Modular, expandable design offering up to triple capacity
• Seamless integration with portal or robot loading
• Automatic sorting by freely definable criteria
• Reduced transport trolleys for more production space

With the redesigned storage solution, systron has created a forward-looking automation module that adds more capacity, flexibility and intelligence to the material flow, ensuring higher autonomy, shorter cycle times and greater efficiency in vertical glass processing.
