Vidroporto, part of Vidrala Group, has revitalised Recicla Vidro, an initiative that installs glass collection points across Porto Ferreira, Brazil and neighbouring cities to give bottles and jars a new life.
With its own dedicated logistics fleet and an expanded network of collection points, Vidroporto streamlines recycling, making it easier and more efficient.
Every 10 percent increase in recycled glass in Vidroporto’s furnaces reduces the company’s CO2 emissions by 5 percent and lowers the use of natural resources like sand and limestone, proving that choosing glass means caring for both the planet and the community.
The Porto Ferreira site uses a substantial proportion of post-consumer recycled glass in bottle production, and Recicla Vidro makes a part of this project. Glass is 100 percent recyclable infinite times, and proof that industry and community collaboration drives lasting change.
