Advanced glass inspection solutions – Meet Viprotron at Ausfenex

Ausfenex 2025,  September 2 to 4 in Benowa, Queensland, is the leading industry event for windows, doors and glass solutions in Australia – and Viprotron will be present together with OGA, its established sales and service partner in Australia and New Zealand.

The focus will be on the Temper Scanner 5D, Vipotron’s most advanced inspection system for tempered glass. Equipped with patented TrueEdge™ technology, it provides precise, repeatable and fully documented measurement results. The system is capable of detecting and quantifying typical optical distortions such as saddle, hammer, pocket, waviness and edge curvature, measured in milli-diopters (mD) and millimetres (peak-to-valley). This ensures objective quality criteria and traceable production data for every single pane.

Beyond distortion analysis, the Temper Scanner 5D also integrates:

  • Anisotropy measurement (quantification of polarisation effects)
  • Haze localisation
  • Detection of optical defects in bright-field and reflection channels

Together, these modules enable comprehensive, line-integrated quality control, providing consistent and verifiable results independent of operator subjectivity or changing light conditions.

Since the scanner itself cannot be presented live at the exhibition, the company will demonstrate its functionality using their demo software and simulation data. This provides a realistic, data-driven insight into the inspection results achievable with the system.

Viprotron and OGA combine cutting-edge inspection technology with local expertise and market knowledge – delivering tailored solutions for process optimisation and long-term quality assurance.
