More than a technical success, this new Vidrala’s bottle redefines what’s possible in glass packaging. A new chapter in the evolution of sustainable design begins here:
- Just 260 grams: a global reference for lightweight wine bottles
- Up to 80 percent recycled glass: significantly reducing the need for virgin raw materials
- Ultra thin walls: precision-engineered without compromising strength or design
- Versatile format : optimised for wines, craft drinks, spirits, oils and more
Developed in collaboration with LiDA Laboratory in Design and Arts and Embalagem do Futuro, and filled with Esporão premium wine, this ultra-lightweight bottle was one of the highlights at Expo2025 Osaka, where the 260G bottle, probably the world’s lightest 75cl bottle, took centre stage in the “Meaningful Partnerships” exhibition, held at the Portuguese Pavilion on August 8 and 9.
By participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, Vidrala not only highlighted the potential of glass as a circular, high-performance material, but also demonstrated how collaborative innovation can shape the packaging solutions of tomorrow.
