Vaider Group has appointed Christian Fröba as Chief Executive Officer of the Swiss group and its Slovenian subsidiary, Hrastnik 1860, effective August 4, 2025.
Fröba succeeds Hrastnik1860’s CEO, Peter Čas, who will lead new initiatives beyond the group’s glass-packaging core business. Peter Čas, under whose leadership Vaider Group advanced its sustainability agenda, leaves a strong foundation. His tenure saw the implementation of transformative eco-friendly practices, positioning the group among Europe’s most progressive glass manufacturers.
Fröba, a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in the global glass industry, brings a wealth of expertise in production, decoration and supply chain management. His career spans pivotal roles at industry leaders, including Bucher Emhart Glass and Heinz-Glas. A mechanical engineering graduate, Fröba earned an Executive MBA from ESSEC and Mannheim Business School and served on the advisory board of the Research Association of the German Glass Industry from 2009 to 2021.
“I am honoured to join Vaider Group,” Fröba said. “Our focus will continue to be solving our clients’ most crucial challenges through innovation and superior customer service.”
