Generation change at the Bundesverband Glasindustrie e.V. (BV Glas), the Federal Association of the German Glass Industry: Christiane Nelles becomes new Managing Director.
As of July 1, Christiane Nelles has taken over as Managing Director of BV Glas, succeeding Dr. Johann Overath, who is retiring after more than 20 years of dedicated service to the association.
Christiane Nelles has been with the association for 17 years – most recently as Deputy Managing Director and Head of Energy and Climate Policy. She brings extensive expertise in energy policy issues at the national and European levels and is very familiar with the industry and the challenges ahead.
Dr. Johann Overath has been active with BV Glas since 2002 and took over as Managing Director in 2006. Under his leadership, the office was fundamentally restructured, a capital office was established in Berlin, and the association was successfully merged into a unified organisation.
BV Glas thanks Dr. Overath for his many years of service and wish him all the best for the future. BV Glas wish Christiane Nelles much success and look forward to continuing a collaboration under her leadership.
