Şişecam, which received an award from the UK in the field of treasury transformation last year, has now been listed among the 2022 finalists in the “Treasury Transformation” category at the Alexander Hamilton Awards. Şişecam is already entitled to receive one of the most prestigious awards, to be announced in March 2022.
Şişecam, which has production operations in 14 countries and a sales network in 150 countries, has digitized and centralized its global treasury operations within the scope of the Treasury Transformation Project. High-security and non-manual payment management, artificial intelligence-assisted fraud control mechanism, and supplier financing program were among the notable achievements of the project.
The establishment of the “Financial Technologies” department within the institution as an industrial organization, the appointment of a competent team in this field in addition to the outsourcing of financial technologies, and the investment in human resources also made a significant contribution for winning the award.
Şişecam was also entitled to receive an award in the “Best Cyber-Security Solution” category at the Adam Smith Awards of the UK-based Treasury Today in 2021 with its digital treasury management project.
Presented by Treasury & Risk for 26 years, the Alexander Hamilton Awards reward companies that have made major strides in treasury, finance, and risk management through process innovations and technology applications. Treasury & Risk provides high-level treasury and finance executives with the strategic content and critical information they need to keep their businesses moving in the right direction.
In addition to Şişecam, global companies such as Microsoft, HP, Boston Scientific, and Bristol Myers Squibb are among the 2022 award winners of the Alexander Hamilton Awards.
