in compliance with the
standard EN ISO 10077-
2:2017, enable the user to
get a more detailed calcu-
lation result - especially in
the case of semi-ventilated
cavities.”
The method of the 2012
edition of the standard,
which was used previous-
ly, did not correspond to
the latest state of the tech-
nology, and was also not
precise enough in calcu-
lating a single equivalent
conductance for heat con-
duction, convection and
radiation for each heat
flow direction.
IMPROVED AND
MORE EFFICIENT
METHOD
The improved method al-
lows a separate evaluation
of radiative heat transfer
and convection, which is
much more efficient. For
some frame sections the
new method can result
slightly better Uf values.
Additionally, features for
fast and intuitive handling
have been added and more
editing and calculation ca-
pabilities are implemented
The integrated CAD editor
and the new FEM-solver
now make it possible for
the user to achieve a very
precise calculation result in
combination with the new
calculation method and
the EN ISO 10077-2:2017
standard - especially
in semi-ventilated cavities
