       BDT was founded in 2003 to support and complete Elettro-
       meccanica Bovone: Vittorio Bovone, together with his dau-
       ghters Federica and Giulia, and all the BDT Staff, wanted
       to produce and manage wheels for straight-line edgers and
       bevellers in-house. This represented just the beginning, and
       now BDT is a strong and consolidated company with well-
       prepared and experienced staff. Market demand focus and
       technical improvement are the keywords of BDT history and
       evolution.
       Over the years this small company has grown a lot: 25 em-
       ployees nowadays and a large production capacity inclu-
       ding   the range metal bond and resin bond diamond cup
       and peripheral wheels for bevellers, edgers, double-edgers,
       CNC peripheral wheels, drill bits and glass tools to make
       holes. In 2015 two young employees were recruited, one in
       the Production Department and the second one for Sales &
       Marketing.
       In 2010 the new revolutionary and performing GOLDNET
       router was patented. Today it’s one of the most highly appre-
       ciated tools of the range.
       Bovone Maquinas e Equipamentos Industriais, the Sister
       Company of BDT, based in São Paulo, which deals with Bovo-
       ne machines and BDT tools all over Brazil, was also founded
       during this same year.
       Since 2010 the company has also been producing stone
       tools, investing on high-performance machines to provide
       high quality wheels, which can grind new materials such
       as Dekton.
       The company has always experienced step-by-step deve-
       lopment recording a steady and progressive increase in sa-




                                                              les volumes year after year. The only exception was in 2009
                                                              when sales decreased, but in 2010 the previous targets were
                                                              completely restored. 2015 was a successful year since the
                                                              company reported a 25% increase on total volume.
                                                              Also 2016 was a very positive year thus considering sales
                                                              volume and accounting balance sheet.
                                                              The formula never changes: investments in innovation, rese-
                                                              arch, development and performance in machines and human
                                                              resources, these are the secrets of growth. At BDT, employees
                                                              are, first and foremost people, and they are, in fact, very
                                                              responsive people, part of a very big family, always ready
                                                              to intensify rhythms when a customer needs an order urgen-
                                                              tly, since their efforts are always rewarded: they are always
                                                              granted the best working conditions and always receive what
                                                              they ask for. BDT uses the same philosophy with customers:
                                                              first of all they are people, who need to be taken care of in the
                                                              best way. Our company aims at establishing positive business
                                                              relationships with them, and, thanks to this behaviour over the
                                                              years, simple partnerships have often evolved into something
                                                              more. This also happens with agents, dealers, suppliers, both
                                                              Italian and international, and even forwarding agents (they
                                                              are always welcome to a good Italian coffee!).
                                                              This virtuous circle keeps on producing important advanta-
                                                              ges, giving our brand name extra value which represents
                                                              BDT’s long-lasting seriousness and reliability.
