Bovone Diamond Tools srl (BDT), founded in 2003,
has, as one of its main products, resin diamond wheels, also
thanks to being part of the Elettromeccanica Bovone group,
a historically-important brand in the sector of bevellers and
flat-edge straight-line edgers for flat glass.
At present, the production of BDT includes metal- and resin
alloy diamond wheels for all types of bevellers, straight line
edgers, work centres, original wheels for Bovone machines,
special wheels ‘made to measure’ and diamond drill bits.
Moreover, the company also commercializes polishing whe-
els, felts, cerium oxide, cooling oil, pumice stone tablets and
carborundum.
Right from the very beginning of its activities, Bovone Dia-
mond Tools has focussed intensely on R&D to develop ever-
more performing solutions with regards to long working life
and quality of the end products, so as to favour higher effi-
ciency in glassworks by lowering labour costs.
One of the most important innovations is GOLDNET, a milling
cutter that already differs from the previous version in its de-
sign as it has numerous small sections that intersect instead of
the usual lengthwise sections of normal cutters.
GOLDNET has been patented and put onto the market after a
long series of tests, and is an innovative solution that enables
to obtain higher processing quality, as well as longer wor-
king life of the tool, which can be easily used on any type of
glass. The higher cost of this item is compensated greatly by
its performance.

BDT’s production not only regards products in series and,
in fact, the company is also open to respond to the diverse
needs and demands of its clients, with the most recent deve-
lopments being focussed on tools that are not exclusive for
Elettromeccanica Bovone machinery.
The company has also increase its machine fleet in prepara-
tion for the start up of the new production of diamond tools
for stone requested by BDT’s distributors.
And due to the increasing demand of quality products from
Latin America, Bovone Brasil, located in San Paulo, was ope-
ned in 2010, aimed at facilitating the market penetration of
grinding wheels and drill bits.
At present, exports of BDT are more than 70% of the com-
pany’s production, with the main market being the US, whi-
le in Europe, the most important markets are Germany and
Spain, followed by the UK. Belgium is growing and Scandi-
navia is increasing its demand. And exports in Russia and
Ukraine are now picking up again thanks to the collaboration
with a new agent.
In conclusion: constant high quality of products and client
satisfaction, while continuously updating machinery and con-
stantly investing in R&D, this is the winning formula of Bovone
Diamond Tools.
