Shares of Japanese packaging firm Yamato Glass Co. debuted on the over-the-counter stock market recently at an initial price of 930 yen against the public offering price of 630 yen. For the current year to March 2000, Yamato Glass expects a recurring profit of 371 million yen, down 7% from the previous year, on sales of 12.4 billion yen, up 7.2%. After-tax profit is seen to rise 23.4% to 197 million yen. The company plans to maintain the payout ratio of over 20% to meet investors“ expectations.
