Greek glassware importer Yalco-Constantinou posted a pre-tax profit of Euro 2.3 million for the first nine months of 2001, compared to Euro 948,000 for the same period of 2000. Company turnover for the first three quarters of 2001 rose by 12.7% year-on-year to Euro 22.9 million. At consolidated level, Yalco-Constantinou posted a pre-tax profit of Euro 1.3 million for the period January-September 2001, as compared to Euro 687,000 a year ago. Consolidated nine-month turnover dropped slightly to Euro 29.9 million from Euro 31.4 million for the first nine months of 2000.
