The December 2001 slump in the construction market meant window maker Weru AG expected 2001 sales to be much lower than in 2000. Weru expeced to break even on an operating level in 2001 and was more optimistic for 2002. Although it forecast little upswing in the market in 2002, Weru expected better 2002 sales and earnings due to stronger marketing activities and a new product group.
