According to recent press releases by the company, the slump in the construction market in 2001 meant window maker Weru AG expected 2001 sales to be much lower than in 2000. Weru expected to break even on an operating level in 2001 and is more optimistic for 2002. Although it foresees little upswing in the market for 2002, Weru expects better sales and earnings due to stronger marketing activities and a new product group.
