Irish luxury crystal and china producer Waterford Wedgwood announced on 25 April that it has started the year well with sales up 8% over last year. The company said it remains committed to aggressive but careful growth through acquisition and also through internal efficiencies and new product introductions. Waterford Wedgwood said it is determined to raise its margins, drive down inventories relative to sales and continue to improve and expand its marketing strategies to achieve its goal of doubling the size of the business over the next five years.
