French glass maker Verrerie Ouvriere d“Albi (VOA), a subsidiary of French building materials group Saint-Gobain, said on 28 May 2002 thatit intends to invest EUR 42.6 millionin renovation and new equipment by 2007. VOA placed EUR 760,000 in a new coloured bottles production line in 2001. The company will invest EUR 2.5 million in a logistics centre in Albi, southwestern France, in 2002. Another EUR 22 million are allotted to the repair of two furnaces and the renovation of the production lines available over the 2003-2005 period. VOA posted a EUR 6.0 million net profit for 2001. The company“s 2001 turnover of EUR 67 million, up 7.2% year-on-year, was the highest result in VOA“s history.
