French glass maker Verrerie Ouvriere d“Albi (VOA), a subsidiary of French building materials group Saint-Gobain, posted a EUR 67 million turnover for 2001, up 8.0% year-on-year. The company, located in Albi, southwestern France, employs 315 people including the seasonal workers. The company exports 12% of its output. VOA plans to invest EUR 2.74 million in the construction of a 10,000 sq. m. warehouse in Albi – Saint-Juery area in 2002. Another EUR 42.6 million will be allocated for the renovation of two furnaces in 2003 and 2005. VOA was established in 1896 and was bought by Saint-Gobain group in 1998.
