For the second consecutive year Vitro has been awarded the “Stellar Export Packaging Award” from the Mexican Association of Containers and Packaging Manufacturers (AMEE), which also awarded another 43 Vitro glass containers and bottles for the liquor, wine, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics and beverage industries in its “Stellar Container and Packaging Contest 2008”. The latest awards, received on 24 June 2008 at a ceremony in Mxico City, join the five awards Vitro won in May 2008 from the Glass Packaging Institute (GPI) in its annual “Clear Choice Awards”. “To win the highly sought after “Stellar Export Container Award” for the second consecutive year from AMEE reiterates Vitro“s commitment and export mindedness the 43 stellar awards that we received in this ceremony set a new record in our history of success from AMEE and commit us, even more, to meet and surpass the needs of our clients”, said David Gonzlez, president of Vitro“s Glass Containers business unit The “Stellar Containers and Packaging” is an annual contest organized by AMEE to honor those products that show superior attributes in the categories of creativity, innovation, variety of materials, environmental care, cost efficiency in containers and packaging, and export focus.
