Mexico“s Energy Regulatory Commission said that Enron Energia Industrial de Mexico, a unit of Enron Corp., will invest around US$ 142 million in the construction of a cogeneration plant in the north of the country. The Commission said the plant will serve 42 companies in the Monterrey area. The major takers of electricity from the plant will be glassmaker Grupo Vitro SA, steelmaker Grupo Imsa SA and cement concern Apasco SA.
