22 October 1998: Glass breeze-block supplier Vitrablok of the Czech Republic, and a subsidiary of Glavunion, is hoping for returns of approximately Kcs 450 million this year, said director Miroslav Beran. The figure represents a year on year growth of 16%, Beran said, adding that the company“s production capacity and demand for its products indicate a further growth in turnover for next year. Vitrablok holds a monopoly on the Czech market in its field and is one of the four largest suppliers of glass breeze-bricks in Europe. It exports 85% of its production, mainly to western Europe, but also to African countries and the United States.
