US automotive technology supplier Visteon Corp. registered to offer up to US$ 800 million of mixed securities under a shelf registration statement released on 2 April by the Securities and Exchange Commission. The securities were unsold from a previously registered US$ 2 billion shelf, the filing said. They may include notes, common and preferred stock, depositary shares, warrants, stock purchase contracts and stock purchase units. Additionally, Visteon Capital Trust I may sell trust preferred securities, representing undivided beneficial interests in the assets of the trust. Visteon plans to use the proceeds from the sale of the securities for general corporate purposes.
