US glass and auto parts producer Visteon Corp., of Dearborn, Michigan, lowered its third-quarter forecast in light of Ford Motor Co.“s announcement that it would take 110,000 to 120,000 units out of its third-quarter North American production schedule. Visteon said it expects to report a loss of US$ 60 million to US$ 70 million, excluding restructuring charges, for the period. In July, the technology-systems supplier to the auto industry projected earnings before restructuring of break-even to US$ 20 million. At the time, Visteon predicted third-quarter revenue of US$ 4.1 billion to US$ 4.3 billion. Visteon said it isn“t forecasting full-year results due to economic and auto-sales uncertainty. In 4 p.m. New York Stock Exchange composite trading, Visteon fell 51 cents to US$ 13.62.
