Visteon Corporation announced 1 July 2004 that Glenda Minor has been named vice president and controller, Europe and South America. Minor most recently served as Visteon“s vice president of Corporate and International Finance, a position she held since April 2003. She will report to Jim Palmer, executive vice president and chief financial officer, and to Heinz Pfannschmidt, president of Europe and South America. In this new position, Minor is responsible for ensuring that Visteon“s finance operations in the region align with and support the needs of the company“s business operations. Minor will be based in Kerpen, Germany. Prior to her new role, Minor served as vice president, Corporate and International Finance, responsible for corporate finance, corporate staff analysis and corporate accounting. Before that position, she served as Visteon“s general auditor. She has been with Visteon since 2000. From 1996 to 2000, Minor was finance director for product development finance at DaimlerChrylser, where, in addition to controlling a USD 2 billion engineering, research and development budget for all vehicle programs and support groups, Minor also provided profit improvement and cost reduction recommendations to Chrysler“s engineering vice president. From 1989 to 1995, Minor held various senior management positions with Chrysler Corporation. Prior to her positions there, Minor held management positions at General Motors and General Dynamics Corporation in accounting and finance. Minor holds a bachelor“s degree in accounting from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a master“s degree in business administration from Michigan State University.
