Porcelain producer Villeroy & Boch AG has agreed to buy a majority stake in Acomo Belgium for an undisclosed sum. Acomo, which makes Jacuzzis, baths and shower units, is a unit of Acomo Holding, whose major stakeholders are Trust Capital Partners and GIMV NV. The porcelain producer didn“t state the amount to be invested. The acquisition bolsters Villeroy“s activities in the fast-growing wellness segment for products and services for health and physical well-being, as well as its international position, it said. In 2000, Villeroy reported sales of Euro 940 million from its business segments: tiles, bathroom and kitchen products, as well as table furniture.
