In 2006, insulating glass unit manufacturer Vildaiva ir Ko, based in the Vilnius region of Lithuania, together with its subsidiary Stiklo Gaminiai, registered sales for EUR 11.21 million, a rise of 49.8% year-on-year. According to Giedrius Jackunas, CEO of Vildaiva ir Ko, “Despite the rising prices for material, the growth was maintained thanks to investments in staff and technologies.” In 2005, the company started a EUR 2.32-million modernization project. Moreover, after Vildaiva ir Ko transferred its experience to Stiklo Gaminiai, the sales of the latter company doubled and reached EUR 2.93 million in 2006. Vildaiva ir Ko is presently installing modern technology for the production of insulating glass units. A part of the project will be financed by European Union support funds.
