Vietnam Building Glass and Ceramics Corporation (Viglacera) is planning to carry out a cold repair, intended in 2011, for a float glass production line with capacity of 350 tons/day in Binh Duong, Vietnam. Viglacera“s expectations from this cold repair are as follow: 1- increase the capacity of production line as high as possible (expected capacity: 420 tons/day); 2- decrease FO consumption from current level of 1,800 kcal/kg molten glass to 1,500 kcal/kg molten glass; 3- lifespan of the furnace of 12 years; 4- minimum product returned ratio (yield) when producing 5mm glass of 92%; 5- product thickness range from 2 to 12mm, including clear and tinted glass; 6- European standards product qualification; a proportion of glass qualifying for coated silver mirrors, automotive glass, low-E glass; 7- no major changes to construction structure of the plant nor structures of base and bottom of furnace, making the most of existing equipment with the least amount of change. Viglacera would like to invite interested consulting firms to provide the following services: 1- carry out project preparation for cold repair as required by Vietnamese regulations which includes investment project report with basic design; 2- prepare bidding documents and evaluation bids for imported equipment of the project; 3- participate in project management during the implementation phase until acceptance test of the project.
