Vietnam Glass and Ceramics Corporation (Viglacera) is one of the signatories to a contract to establish a joint venture company for a USD 235 million office complex, hotel and apartment block. The deal on 2 February 2007 also involves Japanese financial group ORIX and the Singaporean real estate group UOL. The complex will be built at the western gateway to Hanoi. It will consist of a 30-storey office building, a five-star 24-storey hotel with 350 rooms and three 30-storey luxury apartment buildings. The complex will also have a four-storey shopping precinct with a floor space of 25,000 sq.m. Building work is expected to begin in the 2H of this year and be completed by the end of 2009.
