At Vidrala, decarbonisation is an investment decision: the company builds renewable generation on the same sites where it makes glass, and every Mwp permanently lowers both the emission factor and the exposure to energy markets.
Vidrala’s latest photovoltaic plant in Llodio, Spain, adds 7 Mwp of self-consumption capacity. By 2028, the company will triple its on-site generation across its sites.
Vidrala invests in structural decarbonisation to deliver one of the lowest emission factors in the glass industry, turning sunlight into its own energy to power more of the glass it makes.
