Spanish container glass manufacturer Vidrala has paid EUR 3.67 million for another 10% of Ricardo Gallo Vidro de Emballagen, taking its holding in the firm to 99.9%. Vidrala entered Ricardo Gallo in October 2003, when it acquired 89% of the Portuguese bottle producer through a deal comprising EUR 15.02 million in cash and 333,595 Vidrala shares. Vidrala completed its acquisition strategy at the beginning of the current fiscal period with the purchase of two plants from O-I in Castellar del Valls (Barcelona) and Corsico (Milan, Italy) for EUR 138 million.
