Spanish glass container manufacturer Vidrala on 27 February 2009 reported a net profit for 2008 of EUR 40.6 million (USD 51.4 million), up 5.42% year-on-year. Sales rose by 9.57% to EUR 387.2 million boosted mainly by Vidrala“s business diversification and growth on international markets. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose by 17% to EUR 59.7 million, while earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose by 16.89% to EUR 59.7 million.
