Registration for “Seeing at the Nanoscale VI” is now open, with a EUR 40 discount for early registration before 25 April 2008. The conference will take place in the centre of Berlin, Germany, from 9-11 July 2008. Sponsored by Veeco Instruments and supported by the Humboldt University Berlin, Department of Physics, the event includes technical presentations, a nanotechnology poster contest, and a gala dinner with “special flavours” from Berlin. According to the conference chairman Prof. Dr. Jrgen P. Rabe, “Seeing at the Nanoscale VI” provides an optimum forum for “scientists to speak to scientists” on a wide variety of nanotechnology topics. Session I chaired by Georg Schitter of TU Delft, The Netherlands will deal with Extending the limits of SPM; Session II – From single biomolecules to cells will be chaired by Hans Oberleithner of the Universitt Mnster, Germany. G.J. Vancso of Universiteit Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands will chair Session III – Next generation materials and polymer systems; finally, Session IV – Beyond topography: measurement of physical properties at the Nanoscale will be chaired Robert W.
