Belgian crystal maker Val Saint-Lambert will be taken over by an unnamed company which specialises in data processing in the aerospace sector, as a result of an EUR 1.0 million agreement signed between the two companies on 10 December 2002. The unnamed company is based in the Brussels area. Val Saint-Lambert, founded in 1826, was declared bankrupt and placed under protecton in September 2002 after recording a EUR 1 million loss for 2001. The 70 strong Val Saint-Lambert workforce will be reemployed as of 1 January 2003.
