Belgian crystal manufacturer Val Saint-Lambert has a EUR 600,000 provision from product distribution contracts to secure jobs during a two-month bankruptcy protection period, granted by the Commercial Court of Liege, eastern Belgium, on 9 September 2002. The court has appointed three external administrators who will receive and appraise buy offers on behalf of the company. The company does not intend to interrupt its production activity throughout September and October 2002. No plans for job cuts were discussed as of early September 2002, Val Saint-Lambert administrative board president Marc Focroulle said.
