American Glass Partners and Agribusiness International have invested US$ 15 million in restructuring Anopino Glass Plant, said Alexander Anatolyev, director of the Vladimir Russian-American Glass Company (RASKO), which was set up by the American companies and Anopino Glass Plant. According to Anatolyev, Glass Partners and Agribusiness International invested US$ 7 million in equal shares in the charter capital of the joint venture, the remaining US$ 8 million was used to purchase equipment and raw materials for glass production. The new complex, set up over nine months, was launched recently and has a production capacity of 230 million bottles per annum. At the moment, the first production unit, with a capacity for 140 million bottles per year, has been launched. This unit contains two Czech produced automated lines for the production of 0.5 and 0.75 litre bottles. It is planned to launch the second stage, which will be fitted with American equipment capable of producing 90 million bottles per annum, in the second quarter of this year. At this point, the plant will be operating at full production capacity. Anatolyev stressed that after reaching capacity production, total production at Anopino Glass Plant will amount to 350 million – 360 million bottles per annum, or 1 million bottles per day. At the moment Anopino Glass Plant produces 130 million bottles per year. The most part of the company“s production is supplied to the Kristall alcohol plant and the Ferein (Electrogorsk, Moscow region). RASKO charter capital amounts to US$ 14 million, Anopino Glass Plant owns 51% of shares in the company.
