Spanish construction materials manufacturer Uralita achieved a net profit of EUR 84 million in 2007, up 80.6% on the figure for 2006 of EUR 47.3 million, the company informed the stockmarket regulator CNMV on 20 February 2008. Turnover increased 8.9% to EUR 1,094.9 million of which 53% came from foreign sales with Eastern Europe and Russia contributing the largest share. EBITDA reached EUR 224 million, up 25.7% thanks to the increase in margins in the insultation and piping businesses.
