In 2002 the Lysychanska Soda company (Lysychansk, Luhansk region), the second most important producer of soda in Ukraine, posted losses of UAH 8.5 million, according to company deputy director Nina Parshykova. She attributed the losses to the stoppage of the plant and rises in water and gas prices. She said 41 days lost to stoppages lead to a UAH 3.3 million loss. In2002 the Lysychanska Soda increased production by 16.4% or UAH 9.864 million to UAH 70.064 million compared with 2001. Lisichanskaya Soda has a daily production capacity of 1,500 tons. The statutory fund of the company totals UAH 0.536 million. Dianta (Kirovograd) holds 19.01% stake in Lisichanskaya Soda and Prima-Veksel (Kirovograd) – 24.21%.
