Street Crane, based in Derbyshire, has won a GBP 700,000 contract to supply, deliver and commission 11 cranes for a Pilkington glass plant in Ramenskoye, Moscow. The cranes, which have a capacity of up to 25 tonnes, will be used in float glass production. Sales director Keith Rainford, said: “This is the first project we have completed in Russia and we are pleased that the programme ran to schedule”. All the equipment at the Ramenskoye plant, which opened in November 2005, was built in the UK and shipped to Russia.
