Turkish glass manufacturer Trakya Cam Sanayi A.S. plans to invest between USD 180 million and USD 190 million in Russia to build a flat glass factory, Cem Kozlu, the head of a Turkish-Russian business group said 16 February 2009, the Ihlas News Agency reported. Meanwhile in a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange, Trakya Cam said the same day that it has signed an agreement with the government in Russia“s Tatarstan region to start research and feasibility studies on building the flat-glass plant. Trakya Cam operates in the fields of architectural glass, including flat glass, mirrors, laminated glass, coated glass and double glazing units as well as processed glass such as tempered and automotive glass.
