29 July 1999: Tokyo District Court recently approved the start of rehabilitation procedures for Japan“s Sasaki Glass Co., which went bust late last April with liabilities worth 46.65 billion yen for itself and six units. The court selected Toyo Glass Co. president Keikichi Yamagata and lawyer Minoru Uchida as receivers of the failed tableware maker in Tokyo. The first meeting of creditors and other relevant parties is expected to be held on 9 September. The company needs to submit a rehabilitation programme by July 2000.
